This Voyage 05:31
What is the meaning of this voyage? Screaming at reflection of this forgotten ocean A reflection of what was lost A long time ago buried under sand Tightening ropes and creating nooses Has become my specialty Did you really think you could pay for a blissful life? Living under the knife Oh, I miss the streetlights at night I remember when I never knew despair So innocent… Now I wish I could fade into oblivion Did you really ever think it would be okay? I thought so... Now I’m so lost and broken There is no hope in this dying world A torn backdrop made of hope Shards of the life you once knew Buried under sand

Let whatever dwells beneath carve into me Let the blood pour Let the flesh be stripped Take my left hand and follow me Into endless chambers Fathomless depths Let the blood... pour Possessed by the night Seal the pact Emerge from the abyss Flesh may be stripped Let faith collapse in on itself Come and let this be Watch yourself morph And twist in the mirror The horned one Upon the throne Of depravity Gluttony and greed Interminatis cubicula Incomprehensibilis terrore Tandem ostendit Deus malum
3.
Feel the relentless hacking of friction Durationless, even after the numbness of death Watch the past Scream and drown Hear the perpetual groan of the machine The harbinger of everything that turns to nothing The clock ticks to your fickle heart Voluntarily involuntary Hear the perpetual groan of the machine The harbinger of everything that turns to nothing Watch as time falls in on itself Mirages, faces you know too well The candle sparked from your own fire Melted to wax The implosive for your existence

Forcing karma down your throats Look me in the eyes I am your new saviour Awoken Feel my wicked force Fear the fields of piercing silence Rip open your chest Let me in Forcing karma down your throats Swallowing tongues Oh it’s so depressing Look me in the eyes I am your new saviour Free yourself from your mortal coil The bodies will pile All will rot Inverted worlds Are now your resting place Devour the earth's very core I will bring the end of it all To bring humanity to its knees Shaking the earth to its core Nobody is going to have mercy on you

about

Force Fed Karma is the first EP from the Auckland-based two-piece extreme metal band Invidus.

Some additional words from Tom:
“The most intriguing thing I think, is the fact that no matter where I am no matter what place and time, there will always be a lingering, looming train of thought and observation, pondering others’ ways of thinking and what we are doing here on earth.
This thought pattern is perceived in my mind as if it is out of my body and I see myself as an outsider, a person who is but a shell on earth where I do not belong - I identify this through meditation and music.
Let this music I have shared with you through my lyrics and my way of voicing them not be just another audio presentation, but let it be something that maybe you can identify with and experience my perceptions towards life, death, religion and the general flow of things.
Formless dreamstates and constant looming netherworld aspects in my mind may never cease - maybe I am among many who feel this way? Time will tell, but nobody knows what we really are here for, how we originated and how our thought patterns are conceived; maybe music is the only way of discovering these things."
